贊曰：下自責躬，有三：初標，次釋，後成。此標也。「咎」謂罪失，我之愆過，「咎」音巨久反，字從人、各，人各相違即成過咎。

The commentary: Below, reproaching himself has three parts: first, stating it; second, explaining it; third, concluding it. This is stating it. "Fault" (咎) means transgression and loss, our error. "Fault" is pronounced with the fanqie jù-jiǔ; the character is composed of "person" (人) and "each" (各); when people each contradict one another, that constitutes a fault.
