贊曰：此正申請。因緣有二義：一所由，二道理。今請世尊，陳述由理。

Eulogy: This is formally making the request. 'Causes and conditions' (hetu-pratyaya / nidāna) has two meanings: first, reasons; second, principles. He now requests the World-Honoured One to state the reasons and the principles.
