贊曰：第三隨示大乘行化，即前所言「世世已曾從佛受化」，亦即是前「我昔教汝志願佛道，汝今悉忘」，亦下所言「十六王子初結因緣」，今陳生死甚可怖畏、大乘可樂，故名具告。

Commentary: Third, adapting to manifest transformation by means of the Mahāyāna practices. This is what was mentioned earlier: 'In life after life, you have already received transformation from the Buddha'; it is also what was mentioned earlier: 'Formerly I taught you to resolve upon the Buddha path, but now you have completely forgotten it'; it is also what is stated below: 'The sixteen princes first established causal connections.' Now he declared that saṃsāra is exceedingly terrifying and that the Mahāyāna is delightful; hence it is called 'telling them fully'.
