贊曰：下第二大段合今說實，中有二：初合說實，後合釋疑。前喻有四，今但合二：初合釋成父志，「是諸眾生」下是；後合父但與一。文不合諸子索三、越子本心。初文復二：初舉前喻，後以法合。喻中有二：初見子得出其心泰然，「自惟」已下合成父志，意可知也。

The Commentary says: The second major section below synthesises [the metaphor with] the present teaching of the real. It has two parts: first, synthesising the teaching of the real; second, synthesising the resolution of doubts. The preceding metaphor had four parts, but here it synthesises only two: first, synthesising and explaining the fulfillment of the father's wish, from 'These sentient beings' onward; second, synthesising the father's giving only one [kind of carriage]. The text does not synthesise the sons' seeking the three, or going beyond the sons' original desire. The first text again has two parts: first, adducing the preceding metaphor; second, synthesising it with the teaching (dharma). The metaphor had two parts: first, seeing the children escape and his mind being at ease; from 'he reflected' onward synthesises the fulfillment of the father's wish. Its meaning can be understood.
