贊曰：此明車德，此一乘車所有莊飾娛樂之具皆是。一離雜染相，一無漏種類，若因若果聖所稱歎，能生眾生無漏淨妙第一之樂，諸德本故。五樂之中無惱害樂，無惱四中第三覺法，第四寂靜二樂所攝，不同二乘羊鹿之車所有功德，非皆離雜染亦非純無漏，諸聖雖有不歎生樂，非第一故，此名大乘。

The Commentary says: This clarifies the virtues of the carriage. All the adornments and implements of amusement belonging to this Single Vehicle carriage are indeed: of a single characteristic free from defilement, of a single untainted category; whether as cause or as fruit, praised by the noble ones; able to generate the untainted, pure, wondrous, foremost bliss of sentient beings, because it is the root of all virtues. Among the five joys, it is the joy free from harm. Among the four [kinds of] freedom from vexation, it is subsumed by the two joys: the third, the awakening to dharmas, and the fourth, stillness and quietude. It is not like the virtues possessed by the goat and deer carriages of the two vehicles, which are not completely free from defilement and not purely untainted. Although the noble ones possess them, they do not praise them as generating bliss, because they are not foremost. This is called the Great Vehicle.
