5.52

贊曰：下二頌半敘今識小以向大，於中分二：初一頌識知小，後一半知真大。此初也。昔時不識謂真滅故。

The Commentary says: The two and a half verses below recount now recognizing the lesser to turn toward the great, divided within into two: first, one verse recognizes the lesser; afterward, one and a half verses know the truly great. This is the first. Formerly, not recognizing it, he took it to be true extinction.
