5.54

贊曰：知大為真滅。得作佛時，內具諸相好、外為眾生歸敬，方成永盡二種生死更無有漏，故知大乘是為真滅。

The Commentary says: Knowing the great to be true extinction. When attaining buddhahood, internally one possesses all the physical marks and signs, and externally one is revered and taken refuge in by sentient beings; only then does one accomplish the eternal exhaustion of the two kinds of birth-and-death with no further defilements. Therefore, he knows that the Great Vehicle is true extinction.
