The Commentary says: Below, combining the fourteen verses, they rejoice at now hearing and the exhaustion of distress, within which there are two parts: the above twelve and a half verses concluded severing doubt and regret; these one and a half verses swiftly attain peace and security. Drawing [beings] in with compassion, he thus emits a gentle and soft voice; like the hidden rumbling of thunder expounding the profound principle, it is called deep and far-reaching; clear and penetrating like the sound of the kalaviṅka, extremely lovely and delightful, it is therefore exquisitely subtle; free from defiled matters such as fame and gain, speaking the meaning of the Single Vehicle, it is therefore called expounding the pure Dharma. "Expounding" means far-reaching and clear. With the mind greatly rejoicing, doubts and regrets are eternally eliminated, relinquishing the past mind that abided in the provisional and adopting the present wisdom that dwells in the real. The real refers to the Single Vehicle, which is now sought and realized; the provisional refers to the two vehicles, the past expedient means.
