贊曰：上六十五頌半頌喻說，下十八頌頌合說。准前為二：初十一頌頌合昔權，後有七頌頌合今實。合昔權有四：初一頌頌合三界佛有，次三頌頌合五趣危亡，次五頌半頌合見設權方，後一頌半頌合依言免難。此初文也。同前長行。

Commentary: The preceding sixty-five and a half verses versified the parabolic exposition; the following eighteen verses versify the application of the parable. Corresponding to what preceded, there are two parts: first, eleven verses versify the application to the past provisional, and later, seven verses versify the application to the present real. The application to the past provisional has four parts: first, one verse versifies that the three realms belong to the Buddha; next, three verses versify the danger and destruction of the five destinies; next, five and a half verses versify seeing [their suffering] and devising provisional means; and finally, one and a half verses versify escaping danger by relying on his words. This is the first passage, identical to the preceding prose.
