贊曰：初一頌宅宇危朽。五蘊俱為四苦所逼，遷謝變改。後一頌諸方災起，遍生老病死四位之中，皆有猛火煩惱熾然。「熾」音處志反，盛也。

Commentary: The first verse [concerns] the house being ruined and rotten. The five aggregates are all oppressed by the four sufferings, shifting, vanishing, altering, and changing. The subsequent verse [concerns] disasters arising on all sides: pervading all four states of birth, old age, sickness, and death, there are the raging fires of the afflictions blazing fiercely. Chi (熾) is pronounced chu-zhi; it means flourishing.
