贊曰：一頌合示大不悕。「教」者訓。「詔」者明。雖明訓之，不信大乘，耽欲深故。或云「教招」，「招」者誘也，明白引訓故。

Commentary: One verse applies to revealing the Great [Vehicle] which they do not crave. Jiao (教) means instructing; zhao (詔) means making clear. Although he clearly instructs them, they do not believe in the Great Vehicle because they are deeply indulged in desires. Alternatively, it is written as jiaozhao (教招); zhao (招) means enticing, meaning clearly leading and instructing them.
