6.140

贊曰。下十二頌半正顯權、實，令捨權取實。中有二：初一頌半總標昔權今實，後十一頌別顯今實昔權。此初也。我雖先說汝等滅度，但能盡彼分段生死以得涅槃，後有不續。其變易生非別業招，不障無學入無餘故，此隱不說，汝之滅度而實不是大般涅槃實滅度也。汝等所應更脩作者，唯佛智慧，性為法身、相為大慧，智證理故二障不生，便得解脫名大涅槃，三事具足故。

Commentary: The following twelve and a half verses directly reveal the provisional and the real, causing them to abandon the provisional and take up the real. There are two parts: first, one and a half verses generally indicate the past provisional and present real; later, eleven verses specifically reveal the present real and past provisional. This is the first. Although I previously said that you had attained extinction, it was only that you were able to exhaust that birth and death of fragmented lifespans to obtain nirvāṇa, with future existence not continuing. Because transformation-birth is not brought about by separate karma and does not obstruct non-learners from entering [nirvāṇa] without remainder, this was concealed and not spoken of; your extinction was not in fact the true extinction of great parinirvāṇa. What you ought to cultivate further is only the wisdom of the Buddha: its nature is the Dharma body, its mark is great wisdom, and because knowledge realizes the principle, the two hindrances do not arise, and one then attains liberation, called great nirvāṇa, since the three matters are fully complete.
