贊曰：此明汝等不識勿妄宣傳。「法印」者一乘妙理，印大乘教令決定故。我為利益故說此印，汝既不識藥之與病，勿妄傳授恐禍生故。

The Commentary says: This clarifies that you do not discern [them] and must not propagate it recklessly. The 'Dharma seal' is the wondrous principle of the Single Vehicle, sealing the Great Vehicle teaching so that it is established with certainty. For the sake of benefit I teach this seal; since you do not discern medicine and disease, do not transmit it recklessly, for fear that misfortune might arise.
