6.174

贊曰。此有三惡：一淺識，詐現聰明、識達不遠。二深著五欲，在家五欲耽醉身心煩惱重者。三聞不能解，愚鈍凡夫無種姓者。愚法定姓二乘之屬，皆勿為說。

The Commentary says: Here there are three evils: First, shallow intellect, feigning intelligence while their comprehension is not far-reaching. Second, deep attachment to the five desires, those indulging in the householder's five desires, intoxicated in body and mind with heavy afflictions. Third, hearing but unable to understand, foolish and dull ordinary beings lacking the gotra. To the foolish regarding the Dharma and those of the fixed-gotra two vehicles, one must not preach it to any of them.
