其壽量者，贍部洲人壽量不定，彼人以三十日夜為一月，十二月為一歲。或時壽無量歲，謂成壞劫。或於一時壽八萬歲，謂住劫初減時。或於一時壽重漸減，乃至十歲三災起時。東毘提訶人壽增定二百五十歲，西瞿陀尼人壽增定五百歲，北拘盧洲壽定千歲。

As for their lifespans: the lifespan of humans in Jambudvīpa is unfixed. Those humans take thirty days and nights as one month, and twelve months as one year. At times their lifespan is immeasurable years, namely during the kalpas of formation and destruction. Or at one time their lifespan is eighty thousand years, namely at the beginning of the declining period of the abiding kalpa. Or at another time their lifespan gradually decreases repeatedly, down to ten years when the three calamities arise. The humans of Pūrvavideha have a fixed increasing lifespan of two hundred and fifty years; the humans of Aparagodānīya have a fixed increasing lifespan of five hundred years; and the northern Uttarakuru has a fixed lifespan of a thousand years.
