贊曰：下有六頌，總明歷四趣受增上等流果。分四：初半頌地獄，半頌餓鬼，一頌畜生，四頌惡人。此初三也。「園觀」者，古段反，樓觀也。若舍作舘。「餘惡道」者，餓鬼等也。以謗正法、慳貪自居、不順脩學，故生鬼趣。前據此少，故不別說。

Commentary: Below are six verses, generally explaining their wandering through the four destinies and receiving the dominant and commensurate fruitions (adhipati- and niṣyanda-phala). They are divided into four: the first half verse covers hell; half a verse covers hungry ghosts; one verse covers animals; and four verses cover evil humans. These are the first three. As for 'garden pavilions' (yuanguan), it is pronounced gu-duan, meaning a multi-storied tower. When a residence is built, it forms an estate. 'Other evil destinies' refers to hungry ghosts and so forth. Because they slandered the True Dharma, harbored stinginess and greed within themselves, and did not follow cultivation and study, they are born into the realm of ghosts. Since previous [passages] touched upon this only slightly, it was not separately explained.
