贊曰：雖已發心有六度習。中有六：一頌半曾種施習，一頌精進習，一頌半定習，三頌戒習，一頌半忍習，二頌慧習。此初也。曾見佛故久種施習，可為說之。此下所驗隨舉是事，如〈菩薩地〉勘撿說之。

Commentary: Though having already resolved their minds, they have habituation in the six perfections. Therein are six parts: one and a half verses on having previously planted the habituation of giving; one verse on the habituation of vigor; one and a half verses on the habituation of meditative concentration; three verses on the habituation of morality; one and a half verses on the habituation of patience; and two verses on the habituation of wisdom. This is the first. Because they have previously seen buddhas and long planted the habituation of giving, it may be spoken to them. In following what is investigated below, these matters are brought up in succession, and are spoken of by examination just as in the *Bodhisattvabhūmi*.
