贊曰：下明見父。有七。此文有二：一見父安坐，二貴賤承奉。由去大乘不退位遠、去真理遠，義名遙見。佛以四無畏為床，亦四靜慮為床。以無貪、無瞋為寶机，以承戒足，戒學跡故。具戒學者為婆羅門，慧學者為剎利，定學者為居士。又大乘、獨覺、聲聞三乘之眾恭敬圍繞。

Eulogy: Below is seeing the father. There are seven points. In this text there are two: first, seeing the father sitting peacefully; second, the noble and base attending upon him. Because he is far from the non-retrogressing stage of the Mahāyāna and far from the true reality, this is meant by 'seeing from afar.' The Buddha takes the four fearlessnesses as his couch, or also takes the four dhyānas as his couch. He takes non-greed and non-anger as the jeweled footstool to support the feet of morality, morality being the basis of practice. Those fully endowed with the study of morality are the brāhmaṇas; those with the study of wisdom are the kṣatriyas; those with the study of concentration are the gṛhapatis. Furthermore, the assemblies of the Three Vehicles—the Mahāyāna, the pratyekabuddhas, and the śrāvakas—reverently surround him.
