6.347

贊曰：自下第六便成聖位。有三：一初入聖，二住修道，三成無學。此初也。住凡位如假兒仍非是兒，入聖已是真兒方號為兒。故便作字，轉親近故。此住初果。

Commentary: From here downward is the sixth: thereupon attaining the noble stage. There are three parts: first, initially entering the noble [path]; second, abiding in the path of cultivation; third, becoming one beyond training. This is the first. Abiding in the ordinary stage is like a provisional son and still not a son; having entered the noble [path], he is already a true son and only then called a son. Therefore, he gave him a name, because they drew closer. This is abiding in the first fruit.
