贊曰：釋第三不悕。知我樂小，以方便力分明為我正說二乘之法，不正分明為我等輩說，亦應宜聞甚深般若。佛但奄含總相，隨我宣說般若等經，我等不知身有佛分、有佛種故真是佛子修學般若。由此愚故，所以不悕大乘法也。

The commentary says: Explaining the third reason for having no desire. Knowing that we took pleasure in the small, by the power of expedient means he clearly and directly expounded the Dharma of the two vehicles for us, and did not clearly and directly expound for our sort that it was also appropriate to hear the profound prajñā. The Buddha only implicitly and generally expounded sūtras such as the Prajñāpāramitā in accordance with us; we did not know that our own bodies possessed a share of buddhahood and possessed the buddha-seed, so that we were true sons of the Buddha who should train in prajñā. Due to this ignorance, we therefore had no desire for the Dharma of the Great Vehicle.
