6.88

贊曰。下三頌半，喜極告他。分二：初二頌明諸子昔日在難，後一頌半明我今救得稱心。此初也。善根難起，名生育難。「育」者長養。無明長蔽、善根不大，名愚小無知。沈沒三界，名入險宅。或昔教化而今悉忘，故名為小來入火宅。在俗驅驅，如多毒虫。外道邪學，如魑魅可畏。煩惱熾盛，如大火猛焰。逢緣即生，如四面俱起。

Commentary: Below are three and a half verses on rejoicing exceedingly and telling others. It is divided into two: first, two verses clarifying that the children were previously in peril; next, one and a half verses clarifying that having now rescued them brings satisfaction to his heart. This is the first.

Wholesome roots being difficult to generate is called "difficult to rear and raise." "*Yù*" means to nourish and develop. Being long obscured by ignorance so that their wholesome roots were not vast is called "foolish, young, and without knowledge." Sinking into the triple realm is called "entering the perilous house." Alternatively, they were taught in the past but have now completely forgotten, hence called "being young, they entered the burning house." Bustling about in worldly life is like "many poisonous insects." Heterodox, perverse doctrines are like "dreadful chimera spirits." Flaming afflictions are like "the ferocious flames of the great fire." Arising whenever conditions are met is like "arising simultaneously from all four sides."
