7.11

贊曰：二資財甚眾。造宅者起慈悲心，立舍者顯空勝義。或「造」者起也，宅即舍，謂慈悲心。「五欲」者五種樂，或淨法界等五法。「娛」者樂也。「輦」者真諦，法王獨乘；「輿」者俗諦，諸人共乘，勝劣異故。「車乘」者五乘，「田業」者智斷，餘文可知。

The Commentary says: The second is that his assets and wealth were exceedingly vast. Building residences means generating a mind of loving-kindness and compassion; erecting houses means revealing the superior meaning of emptiness. Alternatively, ‘building’ means generating; a ‘house’ is indeed a residence, referring to the mind of loving-kindness and compassion. The ‘five desires’ are five kinds of pleasure, or the five dharmas such as the pure dharmadhātu. ‘Enjoying’ means taking delight. A ‘royal palanquin’ is the ultimate truth, ridden solely by the Dharma King; a ‘carriage’ is the conventional truth, ridden together by the multitudes, because superior and inferior differ. ‘Vehicles’ are the five vehicles. ‘Fields and estates’ are knowledge and eradication.
