7.114

贊曰：下陳述。分二：初長行，後偈頌。初文有二：一陳說，二結成將臨，偈云「如來知是一相一味」下是。初中有三：一法述，二喻述，三合述。法中有四：初佛興於世，二法利群生，三受道有殊，四不能自達。此初也。於法自在，所說不虛，故興於世導利含蠢。

Commentary: Below is the statement. It is divided into two parts: first, the prose; second, the verses. In the first text, there are two parts: 1. the explanation; 2. the conclusion showing its imminent arrival, which is the verse beginning 'The Tathāgata knows that they have one characteristic and one flavor.' In the first part, there are three: 1. statement through Dharma; 2. statement through parable; 3. statement through synthesis. In the statement through Dharma, there are four: 1. the Buddha's arising in the world; 2. the Dharma benefiting all beings; 3. differences in receiving the Path; 4. inability to understand on one's own. This is the first part. Being sovereign in the Dharma, what he says is not hollow; therefore, he arises in the world to guide and benefit all living beings.
