贊曰：下第四不自覺知喻。三乘種性依一真理、一地所生，依一佛教、一雨所潤。如諸草木稟潤雖別，不自覺知，亦不知他稟潤生長。此解似疎，尋合當悉。

The Commentary says: Below is the fourth parable of not being consciously aware. The seeds and natures of the three vehicles rely on a single true principle, being produced from a single ground; they rely on a single Buddha teaching, being moistened by a single rain. Just as the various grasses and trees, although receiving moisture differently, are not consciously aware of themselves nor do they know the moistening and growth of others. This explanation seems somewhat loose; examining the application will make it clear.
