贊曰：第四生聞獲益。有二果：一世間果，現世安穩、後生善處，如法以理受於果報，不行非法，名以道受樂。二出世果，離障入道。或無種性令得前果，有種性者令得後果。又菩薩道有二：一增上生道，二決定勝道。隨次應知。斷二障故，任力得道。

The commentary says: The fourth is sentient beings hearing and obtaining benefit. There are two fruits: First, worldly fruits: being safe and secure in the present life and being born in good places in later lives; receiving karmic retribution in accordance with Dharma and with reason, and not engaging in what is not Dharma—this is called receiving joy through the path. Second, transworldly fruits: leaving behind hindrances and entering the path. Or, he causes those without gotra to attain the former fruit, and those with gotra to attain the latter fruit. Furthermore, the bodhisattva path has two: first, the path of higher rebirth; second, the path of definitive excellence. They should be understood in sequence. Because they sever the two hindrances, they attain the path according to their capacity.
