贊曰：此頌第四不自覺知。所閏是一，稟教同故；而各滋茂，有差別故。三乘眾生竟不自覺所得功德，故知三乘實有差也，智有異故、如三草故、如二木故。

Commentary: This verse is the fourth, on not being consciously aware. What moistens them is one, because the teaching they receive is the same; yet each flourishes and luxuriates, because there are distinctions. Sentient beings of the three vehicles are ultimately not consciously aware of the merits they attain; therefore, we know that the three vehicles genuinely have distinctions, because their wisdoms are different, just as with the three herbs, and just as with the two trees.
