Commentary: Fourth, being dedicated solely to benefiting. Going, coming, sitting, and standing are the Buddha's four postures, of which lying down is omitted here, because this is the time for benefiting and gladdening beings. Alternatively, going refers to manifesting entry into nirvāṇa; coming refers to manifesting the realization of right awakening; sitting refers to preaching the Dharma to benefit beings; and standing refers to awaiting the maturation of beings' capacities; never tiring or giving rise to weariness and laxity, because his compassion is profound.
