贊曰：第二禮讚。有二：一身禮，二語讚。八頌為三：初一頌半讚佛願滿勝德，次二頌讚佛修因勝德，後四頌半申歸禮意。此初也。吉謂吉祥，善事滿故。

The Eulogy says: Second, bowing and praising. There are two parts: first, bodily bowing; second, vocal praise. The eight verses are divided into three: the first verse and a half praises the Buddha's superior virtue of fulfilling his vows; the next two verses praise the Buddha's superior virtue in cultivating causes; the latter four and a half verses express their intention of taking refuge and bowing. This is the first. "Auspicious" means propitious, because virtuous deeds have been fulfilled.
