贊曰：此清淨順觀。初斷生死，故例逆觀也。十二緣起以六門分別：一出體，二釋名，三緣相，四依世，五諸緣生攝，六染淨順逆。

The commentary says: This is the forward contemplation of purification. Because it first severs birth and death, it exemplifies the reverse contemplation. The twelve links of dependent origination are analyzed through six headings: first, identifying the essence; second, explaining the name; third, the marks of conditions; fourth, reliance on the time periods; fifth, subsumption under conditioned arisings; sixth, afflicted, purified, forward, and reverse.
