贊曰：下第二段許可正說。有五，此中有二：初將說法時待機熟，故過二萬劫；二陳所說法妙法蓮華。妙法蓮華正為聲聞，無量義經正為菩薩。何故此中為諸菩薩說於法華？如前日月燈明因妙光法師、二十億菩薩樂欲聞法中釋。

The Eulogy says: Below is the second section: granting permission and giving the main exposition. There are five parts, and here there are two: first, when about to preach the Dharma, waiting for the faculties to mature, hence passing twenty thousand kalpas; second, presenting the Dharma that was preached, the Lotus Sūtra. The Lotus Sūtra is primarily for śrāvakas, while the Anantanirdeśa-sūtra is primarily for bodhisattvas. Why is it that here the Lotus Sūtra is preached for the bodhisattvas? This is as explained earlier in the passage concerning Candrasūryapradīpa, with Master of the Law Varaprabha and the two billion bodhisattvas rejoicing and wishing to hear the Dharma.
