7.552

贊曰：能施法雨，名雲自在。極廣覆蔭，名雲自在王。能破生死，名懷怖畏。能寂三業生死囂煩、證寂默理，名釋迦牟尼，此云能寂。故娑婆世界，此云堪忍。此土眾生不孝父母、不敬沙門，行十惡業道，日夜增長三塗八難無量辛楚，菩薩於中堪忍苦惱而行利益，名為堪忍。

The Commentary says: Being able to bestow the rain of Dharma is named Meghasvara. Providing extremely vast shade and cover is named Meghasvararāja. Being able to destroy birth and death is named Sarvalokabhayacchambhitatvavidhvaṃsanakara. Being able to quiet the turmoil of birth and death of the three karmas and realize the principle of silence is named Śākyamuni, which here translates as "Capable of Quiescence." Therefore, the Sahā world translates here as "Endurance." The sentient beings in this realm are not filial to parents, do not respect śramaṇas, and practice the paths of the ten unwholesome karmas, day and night increasing the immeasurable bitterness and pain of the three destinies and eight difficulties; the Bodhisattva endures afflictions among them and carries out beneficial deeds, hence it is called "Endurance."
