7.63

贊曰：四佛授他記。言「諸佛」者，顯一切佛法皆同，故非唯一佛。亦是過去曾於餘佛所受化故，不爾一佛云何言「諸」。故前說言「曾從諸佛聞方便所說法」。

Commentary: Fourth: the Buddha conferring prophecies upon others. As for the expression 'the Buddhas,' it shows that the Dharmas of all buddhas are identical, hence it is not only one buddha. It is also because in the past they had received conversion under other buddhas; otherwise, if it were one buddha, how could it say 'various [buddhas]'? Thus it was said before: 'having in the past heard from various buddhas the Dharma expounded by expedient means.'
