贊曰：下七頌明今獲得。中分三：初一頌半總辨今得非先所望，次三頌始于今日方名得果體，後二頌半方名得果用。此初也。

Commentary: The seven verses below explain the present attainment. Within this there are three parts: first, one and a half verses generally discern that the present attainment was not what was previously hoped for; next, three verses show that only beginning from today is it called attaining the substance of the fruit; finally, two and a half verses show that only now is it called attaining the function of the fruit. This is the first.
