贊曰：三方名得果用。初一頌得真實聲聞之名，利他用故；後一頌半得真阿羅漢稱，實福田故。即顯住小非真聲聞，亦非真是阿羅漢也。

Commentary: Third: only now is it called attaining the function of the fruit. The first verse shows attaining the name of a true śrāvaka because of the function of benefiting others; the subsequent one and a half verses show attaining the title of a true arhat because of being a true field of merit. This reveals that those abiding in the Small are not true śrāvakas, nor are they truly arhats.
