7.87

贊曰：已上七十三頌半頌前長行。自下品之第三段有十三頌荷佛恩深。分二：初六頌半總明恩深難報，後六頌半別明所難報事。初中復二：初一頌半明佛慈悲深故難報，後五頌明行供養事而不能報。此初也。時長處廣行滿心勤，苦己利人情深叵答，昊天之恩蓋在於此。

Commentary: The above seventy-three and a half verses summarized the preceding prose. From here below, the third section of the chapter has thirteen verses bearing gratitude for the Buddha's profound kindness. It is divided into two parts: first, six and a half verses generally explain that the kindness is profound and difficult to repay; later, six and a half verses specifically explain the matters that are difficult to repay. Within the first there are again two: first, one and a half verses explain that because the Buddha's compassion is profound, it is difficult to repay; later, five verses explain that through the deeds of making offerings, one still cannot repay it. This is the first. The time is long, the places are vast, the practices are complete, and the mind is diligent; toilsome to oneself and beneficial to others, the deep sentiment cannot be requited—the kindness of the boundless heavens truly resides in this!
