The Commentary says: Below is the second section, the metaphor explaining the present reality. It has two: first, indicating the vanishing of the conjuration; later, directly announcing the real. "Vanishing of the conjuration" means guiding them to the Great Vehicle, explaining that the nirvāṇa of the two vehicles is provisional analytical cessation; hence it is called "vanishing of the conjuration"; it is not that he actually vanished that conjured city through supernatural power. The statement here, "The great city earlier was conjured up by me," pointing out the conjured city, is itself the vanishing. "Close to the place of jewels" directly announces the real. Although they are in non-training, their roundabout cultivation of the great cause and their practice are slower than sudden awakening, yet compared to those in training who turn their minds, they are extremely swift; hence it is said to be "close."
