贊曰：下十頌頌可尊可重。分二：初四頌正歎法師可尊可重，後六頌校量罪福勸生尊重。初四頌為二：一頌重說法，三頌重受持。此初也。以說法者自然必得勝妙果報，故略讚之。如契經說，若有戒足雖羸劣，而能辨說利多人，如佛大師應供養，愛彼善說故相似。《俱舍》亦云「父母、病法師、最後身菩薩，設非得聖者，施果亦無量。」

The Commentary says: The ten verses below praise them as worthy of reverence and worthy of honor. It is divided into two parts: first, four verses directly praise the Dharma-teacher as worthy of reverence and worthy of honor; second, six verses weigh the sins and merits to exhort the generation of respect. The first four verses have two parts: one verse honors expounding the Dharma, and three verses honor accepting and upholding it. This is the first. Because expounders of the Dharma will naturally and certainly attain superior and marvelous retributive fruits, they are briefly praised. As a sūtra says: 'Even if one's legs of precepts are weak and inferior, yet one is able to explain skillfully and benefit many people, one should make offerings to them as to the Buddha, the Great Master; loving their good explanation, they are similar to him.' The *Abhidharmakośa* also says: 'Parents, a sick Dharma-teacher, and a bodhisattva in their final existence—even if they are not āryas, the fruit of giving to them is immeasurable.'
