贊曰：下四頌，分二：初二頌對佛挍量，後二頌聞法挍量供養。此初也。讚佛易故心輕利少，讚持者難故心重利多。自他有多少故，如前准解。

The Eulogy states: The four verses below are divided into two: the first two verses weigh [merit] against [praising] the Buddha, while the latter two verses weigh the hearing of the Dharma against material offerings. This is the first [part]. Praising the Buddha is easy, so the mind is light and the benefit is little; praising a holder [of the sūtra] is difficult, so the mind is solemn and the benefit is great. As for self and other possessing differing amounts, interpret it by analogy with what was said before.
