贊曰：下第二段塔開聽說，證經之可重。有三：初辨因由；次明開塔，「是時大樂說菩薩以如來神力故白佛言」下是；後明見讚，「即時一切眾會皆見多寶如來於寶塔中坐」下是。初文有二：初請、後答。請中有二：初眾人心請，後樂說言請。此初也。

The Commentary says: Below, the second section is the opening of the stūpa to listen to the discourse, confirming the sūtra as worthy of veneration. It has three parts: first, discerning the cause and origin; next, explaining the opening of the stūpa, from "At that time Mahāpratibhāna Bodhisattva, through the Buddha's divine power, addressed the Buddha, saying" downward; and afterwards, explaining the sighting and praise, from "At once the entire assembly saw Prabhūtaratna Tathāgata seated in the precious stūpa" downward. The first text has two parts: first, the request; second, the response. In the request there are two parts: first, the assembly's silent mental request; second, Pratibhāna's spoken request. This is the first.
