贊曰:集分身中。有四,此為第四持華慰主。有二:初明遣使,後明例遣。恐文不同,故更重例:初舉一方諸佛,後例七方。初文有三:初告去處,次令傳語,後教散花。「齎」音節稽反,持遣也。《切韻》作「齎」。「掬」音渠竹反,取也。物在手,應作「匊」。

The commentary says: Among the assembly of the emanated bodies, there are four parts; this is the fourth, holding flowers to comfort the host. There are two parts: first, explaining the sending of the messengers; next, explaining the sending by analogy. For fear that the text might differ, it draws the analogy again: first, mentioning the buddhas of one direction; next, drawing the analogy for the seven directions. The first text has three parts: first, announcing the destination; next, ordering them to convey words; and last, instructing them to scatter flowers. The character jī (齎) has the fanqie pronunciation jie-ji; it means to carry and send. The Qieyun writes it as jī (齎). The character jū (掬) has the fanqie pronunciation qu-zhu; it means to take up. When an object is in the hand, it should be written as jū (匊).
