8.557

贊曰：此利世間。初一是智眼，後一應受供。《華嚴經》云：「若以三千大千界，　頂戴一劫中不動，　彼之所作未為難，　信是法者為甚難。　大千塵數眾生類，　一切供養諸樂具，　彼之功德未為難，　信是法者為殊勝。　若以掌持十方剎，　於虛空中住一劫，　彼之所作未為難，　信是法者甚為難。　十佛剎塵眾生類，　一切供養諸樂具，　彼之功德未為難，　信是法者為殊勝。」

The Eulogy says: This is benefiting the world. The first is an eye of wisdom, and the latter is worthy of receiving offerings. The Avataṃsaka-sūtra says: / "If one were to bear the trichiliocosm on one's head / without moving for a kalpa, / what he does would not yet be difficult; / to believe this Dharma is extremely difficult. / To all classes of sentient beings as numerous as the dust motes of a great chiliocosm, / if one made all offerings of pleasurable articles, / the merit of that would not yet be difficult; / to believe this Dharma is far superior. / If one were to hold the lands of the ten directions in one's palm / and remain in empty space for a kalpa, / what he does would not yet be difficult; / to believe this Dharma is exceedingly difficult. / To all classes of sentient beings as numerous as the dust motes of ten buddha-lands, / if one made all offerings of pleasurable articles, / the merit of that would not yet be difficult; / to believe this Dharma is far superior."
