贊曰：此修空也。行者分別執著之義，於法無所行者，於一切法中唯見眾生及法皆空而不分別。執著為有，而觀諸法如實相者，既觀我、法二空為門，復觀諸法如來藏性。法之真理如實體相，我法體無名之為空，其如來藏名為空性。不觀二空門，不見空真性，故此二種同名空觀。

The Commentary says: This is cultivating emptiness. "Practicing" carries the meaning of conceptual discrimination and attachment. "Having no practice regarding dharmas" means that among all dharmas, one only sees sentient beings and dharmas as empty, without discriminating them or clinging to them as existent. "Contemplating dharmas according to their true characteristics as they are" means that having contemplated the twofold emptiness of self and dharmas as the gateway, one further contemplates the tathāgatagarbha nature of all dharmas. The true principle of dharmas is their true substantial characteristic as it is; the absence of substance in self and dharmas is called emptiness, and that tathāgatagarbha is called the nature of emptiness. Without contemplating the gateway of the two emptinesses, one does not see the true nature of emptiness; therefore, these two are both called the contemplation of emptiness.
