贊曰：此修定行及結也。「常離闠閙獨處閑居」，誡初學者應自靜住，誡久學者身雖處鬧心常靜故，理實四行諸惡皆離、諸善皆修。且談說經多所起者，故上下文唯說惡行以勸修習，非唯爾許，說經比丘於餘戒行已具持故。上明人境，下明法境。

The Commentary says: This is practicing the cultivation of concentration and the conclusion. “Always staying away from noisy places, dwelling alone in quietude” admonishes beginners that they should abide in tranquility themselves, and admonishes long-time practitioners that though their bodies be in noisy places, their minds should remain constantly quiet. In reality, with the four practices, all evils are avoided and all virtues are cultivated. Since it addresses what predominantly arises in preaching the sūtra, the text above and below speaks only of evil deeds to encourage cultivation; it is not limited to merely this, because a monk who preaches the sūtra already fully maintains the remaining moral precepts and conduct. The above explains the objective realm of persons; below explains the objective realm of dharmas.
