9.22

贊曰：五頌半頌前，中分三：初二求法，一頌半仙許，二頌隨順。此初也。「推」擊也，有作「槌」都迴反，槌㰅也。字從木追。有作「搥」直淚反。關東謂搥，關西謂棏。「棏」音竹革反。「槌」「㰅」並非經義。

The Commentary says: Five and a half verses versify the preceding [prose], within which there are three parts: first, two verses on seeking the Dharma; one and a half verses on the ṛṣi granting permission; and two verses on rendering obedience. This is the first. “推” (tui) means to strike; some texts have “槌” (chui), fanqie tu-hui, meaning a mallet or pestle. The character is written with the “wood” radical and “追”. Some texts have “搥” (chui), zhi-lui. In Guandong it is called “chui”, and in Guanxi it is called “di”. “棏” is pronounced zhu-ge. Both “槌” and “㰅” do not accord with the sūtra's meaning.
