贊曰:此離三過。「怨」音於願反,無平音。又屈者作「冤」,枉作「惌」,屈草自覆作「宛」,故無也。「嫌」音戶兼反,心不平也。非但獨離爾所語惡,隨說經要且說爾所,下皆准知。明善亦爾。
The commentary states: This is leaving behind three faults. "Yuàn" (怨, resentment) is pronounced with the fanqie yu-yuan (於願); it has no level tone. Furthermore, when meaning grievance, it is written "yuān" (冤); when meaning wronged, it is written "yuàn" (惌); when bent grass covers itself, it is written "wǎn" (宛); hence it is not that. "Xián" (嫌, aversion/grudge) is pronounced hu-xian (戶兼); it means the mind is unsettled. It is not that one only distances oneself from merely this much verbal evil, but following the essentials of expounding the sūtra, it provisionally states this much; all subsequent passages should be understood in accordance with this. Clarifying the good is also like this.
