贊曰：第三意離諸惡自利行。長行中有二：一示行，二示果。示行有二：初教離惡；後教脩善，「當於一切眾生」下是。離惡有四，此為初二。初行有三，並意業，一離嫉妬、二離諂曲、三離誑詐。第二行「不相非」下皆語業。

The commentary states: Third is the practice of self-benefit through the mind leaving behind all evils. The prose section contains two parts: 1. indicating practice; 2. indicating fruition. Indicating practice has two parts: first, teaching the abandonment of evil; later, teaching the cultivation of the good, starting from "One should toward all sentient beings". Abandoning evil has four aspects; these are the first two. The first practice has three aspects, all being mental karma: 1. abandoning jealousy; 2. abandoning flattery and crookedness; 3. abandoning deception and fraud. The second practice, starting from "not disparaging each other", all belongs to verbal karma.
