贊曰：此合隨功授道。初喜、後賜。「禪定等」者，合喻中下二「或」字。「涅槃城」者，合初「或」字。准前喻配，義可知也。

The Eulogy states: This applies to bestowing the path according to merit. First rejoicing, later granting. "Meditative dhyāna, etc." applies to the latter two instances of "or" in the simile. "The city of nirvāṇa" applies to the first instance of "or". The meaning can be known by matching them to the preceding simile.
