贊曰：下品第四大段菩薩疑生。分八：一心念，二語演，三他問，四傍答，五讚許，六正答，七眾念，八申請。此初也。

The Eulogy states: The fourth major section of the chapter below is the bodhisattvas giving rise to doubt. It is divided into eight parts: first, mental thought; second, verbal expression; third, inquiry by others; fourth, indirect answer; fifth, praise and assent; sixth, direct answer; seventh, the assembly's thoughts; eighth, formal petition. This is the first part.
