贊曰：初一半頌樂靜，後一頌精進。「憒」音古對反，心亂也。「鬧」音奴効反。不靜為鬧，亦為「鬧」字。

Commentary: The first half verse concerns delighting in tranquility; the following one verse concerns vigor. *Kui* (憒) has the fanqie pronunciation *gu-dui*, meaning confusion of the mind. *Nao* (鬧) has the fanqie pronunciation *nu-xiao*. Lack of tranquility is noise (*nao* 鬧), also written with the character *nao* (閙).
