贊曰：下七頌頌申疑請。分二：初四頌牒所疑事，後三頌正申疑請。此初。有三：初半頌佛成道近，次三頌讚菩薩有十德，後半頌明住處。

The Commentary says: The following seven verses versify the presentation of doubt and the request. They are divided into two parts: first, four verses cite the matter doubted; later, three verses formally present the doubt and request. This is the first part, which has three aspects: first, half a verse on the Buddha having attained awakening recently; next, three verses praising the bodhisattvas for having the ten virtues; and the latter half-verse clarifying their dwelling place.
